It is our believe that leaders who are outstanding in peace building, peacemaking, conflict resolution and reconciliation must be duly rewarded. Hence, African Peace Foundation bi- annually organize Appeal Award to celebrate the Africa Heroes and Fathers who sacrificed their lives to ensure that African Continent is conducive for the entire black race to live in. The organization of this Award therefore, is a focal point to educate the World on the importance of peace on this generation and that of the coming ones. This, we are sure will create a new forum for Unity in the entire World.

AFRICAN PEACE LEGEND AWARD
Because of the summarized conflicting dialectic of history in which Africa is deeply coming from, African Peace foundation and allies has been according deserving recognition and reward to the achiever of peace, stability, freedom, unity good governance and development of the modern Africa importantly now that the various configuration of Africa has come to terms with the realities of the world condition of peace and stability as a basis for existence.
As a result of these, African Peace Foundation has taken the bull by the horn to reward those specially committed few to the course of peace, development and humanitarian efforts; hence African Peace Legend Award that is commonly called “APEAL AWARD” was borne to pay back those peace spirited individuals. Hence, the special nomination of distinctive reputable personalities throughout the Continent for different Categories of African Peace Legend Award are celebrated on yearly basis for laying their lives down for the cause of peace, emancipation, good governance etc. e.g. Dr Nelson Rilohilahla Madiba Mandela, former President of South Africa awarded Grand Peace Legend in 2004, President Muammar Gaddafi, the Great Leader of People`s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya Peace Legend 2006, Chief Gen.
